Students reviewed the terms oxidation number and then watched a podcast by PoppaPodcast on "Writing Chemical Formulas for Binary Ionic Compounds". Then, we worked a few practice problems for writing binary ionic formulas. We concluded class by completing the "Writing Ionic Formulas" (50 pts) worksheet. Those that did not finish were allowed to complete the worksheet at home.
