Students learned how to write chemical formulas for transition metals using Roman numerals. We also went in reverse and learned how to take chemical formulas for transition elements and name chemical formulas w/transition elements. They had two worksheets to complete, Naming Ionic Compounds with Polyvalent Ions (50 pts) and Writing Chemical Formulas w/Polyvalent Ions (50 pts). One worksheet is due during GPS and the other tomorrow. Tenth grade students will be taking the ACT Aspire Science Test via laptop in class on Friday.
