Acceleration

Today, we discussed what acceleration really means.  We also mentioned 3 different scenarios where acceleration takes place (jets, roller coasters, cars) and what really happens.  Students then came up w/the definition and formula for acceleration after the discussion.  Soon afterwards, we discussed the use of the Greek Letter delta and how it applies to the formula.  Finally, class was concluded w/three acceleration word problems.  We also mentioned the difference in the problems for acceleration and deceleration.  Students were then given an Acceleration Word Problem Worksheet to complete for homework (22 pts)
