WORK WORD PROBLEMS
Today, we combined the word problems for Work, Power, Mechanical Advantage and Efficiency on one Word Problem Worksheet. Students were encouraged to learn the formulas using the "TRIANGLE" method. Also, a poptest was given to prepare them for the Work Word Problem Test tomorrow. They were told that they would not be able to take the test without a calculator. They MUST BRING a calculator to class tomorrow. EASY TEST!!!
Mechanical Advantage
We determined Resistance Effort and Effort force in an effort to calculate Mechanical Advantage. We still need a calculator for the calculation of Efficiency tomorrow.
WORK & POWER
Students calculated work and power through word problem worksheets. The work word problems were turned in during class and the Power will be finished for homework and turned in monday. They will still need the calculatorson Monday again. Have a good weekend. Happy Easter!!
WORK & MACHINES
Students completed the Work Vocabulary WS and began the Work Review Questions. Whatever was not finished in the Review Questions was to be finished for homework. The Work Vocabulary was turned in at the end of class.
ENERGY
Today, we got to show how much we learned on the Energy Chapter test. We began the vocabulary on the next chapter, "Work" after we finished the test.
ENERGY
Today we get to take a short, sweet Word Search Puzzle, then complete the Energy Chapter Review from the textbook. Then at some time during the period we will take the Energy Vocabulary Test in preparation for the Energy Chapter Test on Tomorrow. Take the time to study so you'll perform well on the test tomorrow.
Energy
Finalized the notes on Energy today. Students will a vocabulary test on the Energy vocabulary and answer the Energy Chapter Review.
Gravitational Potential Energy
We discussed and took notes on the three forms of potential energy. Then completed a worksheet on gravitational potential energy. Once again, calculators were vital to bring and use in class. Have a good weekend.
Kinetic Energy
Students needed a calculator. They were told to bring a calculator to class today to work on the Kinetic Energy Word Problem Worksheet. They will also need it tomorrow as we calculate Gravitational Potential Energy. Keep the energy flowin'...
