Chemical Reactions
We began the Chemical Reactions Lab today which demonstrates each of the 5 types of Chemical Reactions. Students must come to class dressed appropriately each day. After going over the materials and procedures for the lab, students are expected to complete the data sheet and learn the types and evidence of chemical reactions while performing the lab safety procedures associated with the lab.
Chemical Reactions
Students went over the directions and procedures for the Chemical Reactions lab that will occur this week.

Students continued working on the Chemical Reactions Chapter Assessment (84 pt). The emphasis on writing correct formulas to write the correct chemical equations for the 5 types and placing the correct symbols in the equations. The ability to carry over the writing of the covalent/ionic formulas and using polyatomic ions was vital in writing the correct formulas. Students did not complete all the problems, so we will finish and review them on Thursday.

Students finished the Chapter Assessment (84 pts) in Chemical Reactions in class. They will have the Chemical Reactions Chapter Test tomorrow.
Chemical Reactions
Students took the Chemical Reactions Vocabulary Test (36 pt) to begin class, and immediately began the Chemical Reactions Chapter Assessment (100 pt). They will have the Chemical Reactions Chapter Test on Wednesday.
Chemical Reactions
We completed the discussion and explanations of ways that chemical reactions produce water, precipitates and gases. Then, we had the Chemical Reactions Word Search (42 pts) for homework. They will have the Chemical Reactions Voc. Test tomorrow.
Chemical Reactions
After completing 2 days of learning how to write chemical equations from word equations AND balancing equations students were allowed to show their expertise on 3 balancing equations worksheets in class.
Chemical Reactions
Today, we continued correcting mistakes taken as students wrote the chemical reactions problems and balancing equations. We continued using the textbook and completed another Balancing Equations WS (30 pts).
Chemical Reactions
Students and teacher reviewed and corrected the mistakes from the chemical reactions assignment on yesterday and completed new work from the textbook.
Chemical Reactions
Students turned in the Google Classroom Assignment (20 pt) and then began practicing balancing equations. We completed the Identify & Balancing Equations WS (36 pt) and completed the Balancing Equations WS (30 pt) for homework.
