Students took the Lab Tools Quiz (50 pts) from the PowerPoint. After the Quiz, they received the "Introduction to Chemistry" Voc. (72 pts), which is due tomorrow.
LAB TOOLS
Students went to the computer lab to complete the Lab Tool/Equipment WS/Powerpoint with uses, picture, and names of the vital lab tools from the list (120 pts)
Lab Tools/Equipment
Students went to the library to complete the Lab Tools WS (80 pts) and begin to place the terms and uses of the assigned lab tools on a paper.
Lab Safety Quiz; Eclipse
Students were informed of what a solar eclipse is and the dangers in human eyesight. The form to allow them to view the eclipse outside was handed out and told to turn in by Friday for a grade. Then students took the Lab Safety Quiz (50 pts). They were to start on the Lab Equipment WS after the Quiz.
Lab Safety
Students turned in their Lab Safety Contract and went on a Lab Safety Tour (50 pts). Students were to complete the Lab Safety Tour WS for homework and take the Lab Safety Quiz (50 pts) on Wednesday.
Lab Safety Notes
Students were to turn in the Lab Safety Contract (10 pts) from Friday's homework. We began to copy the notes from the Lab Safety PPT.
Rules Test, Lab Safety Symbols
Students took the Classroom Rules Test (20 pts) and began the Lab Safety Symbols WS, drawing the Lab Safety symbols from the bottom using the Textbook. The were given the lab contract to take home and return on Monday.
Textbook Use
Students completed the "Textbook Use" WS (50 pts) in class. They will have the Rules Test WS.
Rules and Procedures, Expectations

Introduction of teacher and biography. Then, begin introduction of Rules and Procedures in class. Passed out the Course Overview/Syllabus and discussion of expectations during class.

Continued to finish expectations of students and procedures of classes. Began the notes on parts of a textbook, their locations, organizations and uses. Students began Uses of Textbook WS and had to get syllabus signed for homework (8 pts)
