4-3-18 (Tuesday)
Students went outside and performed the Speed/Acceleration Lab. Students walked & ran 10 yds and 40 yds. They also went through walking 20yds and running 20yds w/out stopping to determine acceleration. We wrote the information on the data sheet in preparation for the actual calculations of speed and acceleration on Wednesday. Students received a bronze grade (10 pt) for bring their calculators to class. They were advised to have a calculator every day as stated in the syllabus.

4-4-18 (Wednesday)
Students were able to take the times and determine their speeds in walking/running 10 yds and walking/running 40 yds. We worked 3 problems on the board and explained the process of calculating speed. Finally, we went over the process of how to determine acceleration in 2 practice problems. We went over each item on the worksheet and students were given the data sheet (100 pt) and questions to complete at home for homework.

We continued and finished the notes from the PPT on Newton's 1st law of motion, balanced/unbalanced forces, forces and centripetal force. Inertia and Law of Inertia were briefly discussed. Students received the Motion Seek-n-Find (40 pts) and were reminded to turn in the E-Day assignment by Thursday. They will have the Motion Voc. Test and Chapter Test on Tomorrow.

Students took the final notes from the PPT as we discussed the forms of energy changes in a chemical reaction. We also compared inhibitors w/catalysts. Students then completed the Balancing and Identifying Chemical Reactions WS (48 pts) and Types of Reactions (30 pts). They received the Word Scramble (32 pts) and Crossword Puzzle (30 pts) for homework. They will the Chemical Reactions Voc Test tomorrow and Chapter Test on Wednesday.

Students completed Aims 14 (Synthesis Reactions) - 36 pts, Aims 15 - Decomposition Reactions (50 pts), and Aim 16 - Replacement Reactions (45 pts) in an effort to understand the types of Chemical Reactions. Students then began the Identifying and Balancing Equations Worksheet (48 pts).
