25th (Wednesday)

Students completed Day 2 of the SI (Metric System) Lab where we measured distances in cm, m, dm, and hm using a meter stick.  We also used the triple beam balance to measure various masses in SI.  We finished up w/the thermometer and measured the temperature of different items.  Students were assigned the Scientific Method Review Questions from Ch. 3 of the online textbook to prepare for class on Thursday.  Each class has been given the website; username and password for each class to access the Physical Science textbook and complete the work on their phones or home computers.

26th (Thursday)

Students were given the first 30 min. to complete the Review Questions (60 pts) from the Physical Science textbook.  They were encouraged and emphasized to begin using the online textbooks to complete their homework.  Afterwards, we began the Scientific Method notes from the PPT on the projector.

Students discussed the different measurements and what they "looked like" from cm, mL, to temperature in SI.  Then, they completed the SI Measurement Conversions WS (52 pts) which measures the knowledge on all Measurement Notes. They will have a Measurements Quiz (50 pts) on tomorrow.  The Conversions WS was due 4th period on the way to lunch.

Students read from the textbook and answered the questions from "Measurements" on the Measurements RQ WS (60 pts).  They will have the Temperature Conversions Test on Tomorrow.  They were given the Temperature Conversion WS 1 and Temperature Conversions Table back to see what they missed prior to the test.

Students were taught how to read a table and add data to a table.  Then, students were given a Temperature Conversion Table to read and complete involving Celsius, Kelvin and Fahrenheit Temperatures (40 pts).  They will have a Temperature Conversion Test on tomorrow.  Students were informed of the test on Tuesday.
