Students took the Energy Chapter Test (100 pts).  Immediately finishing the test, they began the Work and Machines Vocabulary Worksheet (56 pts).  We will complete the Review Questions tomorrow NIGHT, as we work on the Work and Power Word Problems in Class.

Students reviewed the 3 worksheets that were done yesterday and for homework.  Then, we went over the answers to the Energy Chapter Review (50 pts).  Finally, they had the Energy Vocabulary Test (26 pts).   They were all encouraged to study for the Energy Chapter Test tomorrow.

Students reviewed the way in which the human body uses energy.  We also reviewed transformation of energy.  Then, students answered a worksheet reviewing kinetic & potential energy as a poptest (20 pts), Seek-n-Find (16 pts), Study Guide (40 pts), and had the Energy Chapter Review (50pts) for homework.  They will have the Energy Vocabulary Test (26 pts) and Energy Chapter Test (100 pts) tomorrow.  Study the formulas and concepts...

We took notes on Energy Transformations from the Energy Powerpoint.  After discussing the transformation of forms of energy, we looked at how our body uses energy to our benefit.  We also discussed ways in which energy comes from fission and fusion reactions.

Students were reintroduced to the 3 types of potential energy.  After working 4 practice problems dealing w/Gravitational potential energy, mass, and height, students began the GPE Word Problem Worksheet (30 pts).  It was to be completed and turned in 7th period today.

Today students were allowed to read and determine the vital facts from the section on types of potential energy.  Then we completed the word problem WS on Gravitational Potential Energy. (30 pts)

We discussed Kinetic Energy and compared it to Potential Energy w/examples.  Then, we worked 2 practice problems to calculate Kinetic Energy.  Then, they completed the Kinetic Energy Word Problem WS (33 pts)

Students took notes on the forms of Energy and the major types.  Then we performed calculations on Kinetic Energy.  They finished with the Kinetic Energy Word Problem Worksheet.(33 pts)

4/20/15 (Monday)

Students began working on the Energy Review Questions (50 pts).  During class, we were instructed to give the PRIDE Survey to the students who worked on it during class.  They were instructed to finish the Energy Review Questions for homework.

4/17/15 (Friday)

After reviewing the Chapter Review and Study Guide, Students took theForces Chapter Test (100 pts).  Students completed the Energy Vocabulary (20 pts) in class afterwards.

4/16/15 (Thursday)

Students worked on Forces Study Guide (50 pts) and Chapter Review (50 pts)after the Forces Vocabulary Test (34 pts) from the PowerPoint.  Those items that were not finished were to be completed for homework and turned in Friday.

Students watched an ESPN Video entitled, "Newton's Hat Trick".  They were to answer questions from a worksheet on the Video (30 pts)  After watching the video, students got a worksheet to see if they understood Newton's 2nd Law of Motion (25 pts).  Soon after, they began the "Forces" Crossword Puzzle (20 pts) preparation for the Forces Vocabulary Test tomorrow.  The Chapter Test will be on Friday.
