Atoms & the Periodic Table
Students worked on the "Atoms and the Periodic Table" Review Questions WS (60 pt). They simply had to read the information from the textbook to be introduced to the next chapter. If they did not finish the worksheet, they were to finish it for homework using the link given the 1st semester
Atoms & the Periodic Table
Students were welcomed back and we began on the "Atoms & the Periodic Table" Vocabulary (36 pt) and the "Atoms & the Periodic Table" scientists WS (21 pt). They ere instructed to complete them for homework.
Semester Exam Review Guide
Students continued to work on the 1st Sem. Exam Review Guide (50 pt)and were also given the 2nd Sem. Exam Review Guide to complete for their final grade of the 1st Semester. They were also given the requirements for their exam and dates for the exam also.
Solid, Liquids, & Gases
Students & teacher went over the answers to the Solid, Liquid, and Gas Chapter Review and then they took the Solid, Liquid, and Gases Chapter Test (100 pt). We then made sure all students had the 1st Qtr Sem. Exam Review Guide and understood the purpose and grading of the 1st & 2nd Qtr Sem. Exam Review Guides.

Students took the "Solid, Liquid, & Gas" Voc. Test (40 pt) and then completed the "Solid, Liquid, & Gas" Chapter Review (55 pt) in class. They will have the Chapter Test tomorrow in class. They were also given the 1st Semester Exam Review Guide to prepare for their 1st Semester Exam on today.
Solid, Liquids, & Gases
Student learned about the relationship between volume and temperature of a gas as long as the pressure remains constant (Charles Law). We learned how to solve for each of the variables in Charles Law and how it affects tires and balloons. After finishing the Charles Law WPWS (40 pt) students completed the Solid, Liquid, and Gas Crossword Puzzle (42 pt) for homework and to prepare for the Solid, Liquid and Gas Voc. Test on tomorrow. They will have the Solid, Liquid and Gas Chapter Test on Thursday. Once again, they were reminded to pick up the 1st Sem. Exam Rev. Guide to prepare for the 1st Semester Exam on Monday, Dec. 16.

Students completed the Boyles Law Word Problem WS (40 pt) in class. They were reminded of the "Solids, Liquids, and Gases" Vocabulary Test on Wednesday and Chapter Test on Thursday. They were told to pick up the 1st Sem. Exam Study Guide whenever they were ready. We will begin answering questions on Thursday after the Chapter Test.

Students took notes from the PowerPoint on Diffusion, Buoyancy, and Pressure. Students were allowed to complete a word problem worksheet on how to calculate the pressure on an object w/force and area. The Pressure WPWS (20 pt) was due tomorrow.
