Today, students answered 3 worksheets on the scientific method. They got to show that they can identify the steps to the scientific method, the two types of variables, two types of information and discuss the results. A Scientific Method Quiz and lab awaits them on Monday.

30 - Today, we began the notes on the steps to the Scientific Method. We learned the names of the groups, types of variables and types of data.

31 - We completed the notes on the steps to the Scientific Method and began the worksheets to see if we learned the information. The Scientific Method Quiz will be on Monday.

Today, we began the notes on the Scientific Method. Students took notes from the PPT on the Scientific Method and it's processes.

Students completed their Scientific Method Vocabulary and Review Questions. If they did not finish the Scientific Method Review Questions, they were to turn them in the next day before their period starts.

Today, we defined the key terms in the Scientific Method section of Chapter 1. But, before beginning the Scientific Method Vocabulary, we completed the Length Lab WS which was a review of what we had done in lab the last 3 days.

We finished the lab for measuring length, volume, mass and temperature in SI units. We used the triple beam balance, graduated cylinder, meter stick and thermometer in our measurements.

No work was done in the Physical Science classes due to the 10th graders taking the PLAN or Pre-ACT test from 1st - 4th periods.

21 - The teacher went over the directions for the SI lab and students began the lab.

22 - Students continued the Metric Lab on Volume, Mass, Temperature, and Distance.

Students that were on the SOT field trip took their 1st Qtr Benchmark and others finished the Measurement RQ as well as the Length lab. They were reminded of the SI lab on Monday.

Students took the 1st Qtr Benchmark Test for Physical Science. They were told to prepare for the Metric System lab coming up on Friday and Monday.
