Today, we completed the SI Conversion Factor WS. We also discussed the shortcut method for determining SI conversions. Also, we used it to check for the correct answers using dimensional analysis. The SI Conversions Test is Wednesday.

SI Conversion Notes
Today we continued our discussions on the prefixes in SI, what numbers they represent and how they relate to each other. Monday, we will begin writing conversion factors in SI.
English Conversions
Students took the English Conversions Test in class today. They continued work on the Measurement Voc. and Review Questions after the test.
SI Notes
Students took notes on the Base units of SI, volume, mass and distance. They were reminded of the English Conversions Test on tomorrow.
Minerals
Today, we continued the power point on Minerals in class. Students took notes on types of chemical bonds, and why atoms bond.
English Conversions
Students began work on the English Conversions WS. They were reminded of the English Conversions Test on Wednesday and to memorize the "Numbers Needed for English Conversions".
Measurement/Conversions

Students worked on Measurement Vocabulary and Review Questions with the Substitute.

Students took the Math Review Test and began the English Conversions WS after working 4 examples of English Conversions using conversion factors.

Students will complete the English Conversions WS, Measurement Vocabulary, and Review Questions.
Conversion Factors
Today, we wrote conversion factors for units of measurement in the English System. Students were to then complete the English Conversion Factors WS.
Conversion Factors
Today, the students finished their math Review worksheets to show how to use a calculator to multiply and divide. They were to also round the answers to 2 digits to the right of the decimals like money. Then we took notes on how to write conversion factors using the English system of measurement.
Scientific Notation
We did practice problems on changing from scientific notation to regular numbers, then completed the worksheet on Scientific Notation. All students were advised to have a calculator for class tomorrow. The test on Scientific Notation will be on Thursday.
