Monday -
We went over the Rules & Regulations for class as well as procedures for my class.
Tuesday - Each class completed a separate page in the County Code of Conduct.
Wednesday - We completed the discussion of the syllabus, rules and procedures of my class. All Students will have a Rules and Procedures test tomorrow. Textbooks were also issued today.
1st Period took their 2nd Sem. Exams today. The exam covered information on Elements & Properties, Chemical Bonding, Chemical Reactions, Motion, Forces, Energy, Thermal Energy, Work & Machines, Electricity and Radioactivity. The other classes will begin their exams on Monday. Each class was responsible for completing a 3rd Qtr & 4th Qtr Review Crossword Puzzle and reviewing the Review Guide. Study and Good luck!!!
Students worked on 2 Crossword Puzzles. (3rd Qtr & 4th Qtr) Then they worked on the 2nd Semester Review Guides.
Today, concludes the final viewing of "The Day After". Class discussion of the video and handing of Semester Exam Review Guides.
Day 2 of "The Day After" to view the effects of Radioactivity on life. Benchmark Review Guides are Available for the 2nd Semester Exam. 1st period, Physical Science 2nd Semester Exam will be on Friday.
Today, after completing the Radioactivity Vocabulary students began the Review Questions. Soon after, we began the video on "The Day After" to depict the events and circumstances in a nuclear attack or accident.
Yesterday, students took the Electricity Voc. Test and completed the Electricity Chapter Review & Crossword Puzzle. Today, we reviewed the answers to the Electricity Chapter Review and took the Electricity Chapter Test. Then we began the Radioactivity Vocabulary.
Today, we finished the notes on Electricty by talking about the types of circuits and their differences. We also discussed the formulas for calculating Electric Power and Energy. We completed the class by calculating Electric Power on a word problem worksheet. There will be a vocabulary test on Electricity tomorrow and Chapter test on Electricity on Thursday.
Students were introduced to the types of batteries, the substances they contain and how current flows from them. We also learned the symbols I, V, and R in electricity and their units. We finished class talking about Ohm's Law and it's calculations. The word problem worksheet on Ohm's Law was due before 8th period. An Electricity Vocabulary Test is scheduled for Thursday with the Chapter Test coming on Friday. Calculators are needed daily.
Students took notes on the purpose of ground wires, lightning, and movement of electrical charges.
