Today, due to the inclement weather and rain we had to postpone the Speed lab. We did go over the way the lab should be conducted w/input data so that we'll be able to complete the calculations on Monday. Each class member was asked for questions so that they could understand and conduct the lab w/little help. The lab was rescheduled for Monday or the first satisfactory date.

D-Day!!! Show what you've learned about motion. We took the Motion Chapter test and began the Forces Vocabulary. We will be going outside to have the lab on Speed tomorrow. Be sure and wear sneakers or tennis shoes. We will be walking/running the 40 yd dash. Then we'll calculate our speed and accelerations.

Today, we engrossed ourselves with a Motion Seek-n-Find which prepared us fpr our Motion Vocabulary Test. At the conclusion of the Vocabulary Test, we began and finished the Motion Chapter Review from Chapter 3 in our book. We will be having the Motion Chapter Test tomorrow and need a pencil. Then, the Speed lab for friday outside. Wear tennis shoes.

Today, we discussed the items in acceleration, the difference in speed and velocity and finished class with an Acceleration Word Problem Worksheet. Students are reminded to bring a calculator to enter class and perform the worksheets that we are working on.

Today, we learned the difference in distance and displacement. We also, determined the units and items needed to calculate speed. Then we proceeded to complete a word problem worksheet on calculating speed w/6 steps. All were due today. Calculators are necessary for the remainder of the week as we calculate different types of motion.

In class, we read and answered the Motion Review Questions from the chapter. Afterwards, we began the powerpoint and notes on Motion principles. All students will need a calculator tomorrow.

Today, was the day we show how much we have learned in Chemical Reactions as we took the Chemical Reactions Chapter test. We also began the Physics section of Physical Science now. We must have the Motion Vocabulary done and turned in by 8th period today. Most of it can be done during study hall in 7th period. We need the calculators once again, so find them and bring them back.

Students were told of the Chapter Test on Chemical Reactions on tomorrow. They must have a pencil to complete the test. They took the Chemical Reactions Voc. Test today and completed the Chapter Review form the book. Study, Study, Study...

We finished our notes on Chemical Reactions today. We also, completed the worksheet on Word Scramble, Chemical Reactions Crossword Puzzle and got ready for a Vocabulary Test on Chemical Reactions on Monday. That will mean a Chemical Reactions Chapter Test on Tuesday of next week. Get READY!!!

Today, we spent the entire period finishing 2 worksheets on Balancing Equations. We'll be sure we can balance the simple equations w/coefficients.
