Today, we discussed, Pressure in Fluids, Archimedes' Principle and Pascal's Principle. Then we had a word problem worksheet using Pascal's Principle where we calculated, Pressure, Force and area. The worksheet was due before the end of 7th period (Study Hall). Have a good weekend.

Today, we defined and drew the 4 states of matter as well as listing examples. Students should review their notes tonight and be ready a poptest tomorrow. Students were also informed that there would be no 2nd Qtr Benchmark but a 1st Semester Exam and the difference in it and a Benchmark Test.

Today is the 2nd day of the Personal Empowerment Conference @ MHS. Students were allowed to go to the Sessions of their choice 4 times. The Conference was concluded with a few encouraging words from Dr. Shellie "the Playboy" Stewart, formerly of WENN radio fame. It was an honor and pleasure to hear the encouraging words to all MHS students on the value of an education and life-long learning.

We finished the chapter on Classification of Matter with the Chapter Test on Thursday. Today, we had an AR Book Test on a library book that was checked out earlier this 9 weeks worth 100 pts. We also worked on the Vocabulary for the chapter on Solids, Liquids, and Gases after the AR test. Enjoy the weekend and come back Monday for the conference arranged by Mr. Minnick and the SGA for Monday and Tuesday.

On Monday, students finished the notes from Classification of Matter via Powerpoint. We completed an "Element, Compound and Mixture" WS with preparations for a Classification of Matter Vocabulary Test on Today. We will complete the chapter with a Classification of Matter Test on Thursday. The AR Book test will be taken on Friday if students have not taken it already. Today, we're completing the Chapter Review (Ch. 15) and another Seek-n-Find puzzle before the Vocabulary Test.
