Yesterday, All students completed the Toilet Tissue lab and Penny lab which concluded the Scientific Method concepts. Today, they are taking the Scientific Method & SI Test to finalize the Measurements section also. After the test, they were to begin the Classification of Matter (Chapter 15) vocabulary. It is due tomorrow since most did not finish in class.

Today, we wrote on a topic, "What skills make me attractive to a potential employer or college" and completed our vocabulary on the Scientific Method. Most students had to finish the Scientific Method Vocabulary for homework or during the 7th period class. All 10th grade students took the PLAN (pre ACT) test on Wednesday from 1st - 4th periods. On Monday and Tuesday all Physical Science Students who brought their lab permission forms participated in a SI lab to show that they could use SI units and perform lab techniques and measurements in SI appropriately.

Today, we read the Chapter dealing with Measurements and answered the Review Questions. We also began the Conversions Worksheet and learned the shortcut way to SI conversions. We were informed of the SI Lab on Wednesday/Thursday and to bring our Lab Permission forms if we had not. We will have a Measurements Quiz on Wednesday.

All Physical Science students took the 1st Qtr Benchmark Test. There were a total of 65 questions to see how well they learned the material on Lab Safety, Lab Equipment, Scientific Notation, Calculator Use and Rounding, Writing Conversion Factors and Converting in the English and SI systems.

Today, we spent the entire period working on our 1st Qtr Benchmark Review Guide. The 1st Qtr Benchmark test will be given tomorrow in all Science classes. You must have a pencil to take the test. A pencil will not be provided for you. You must also turn in your 1st Qtr Benchmark Rev. Guide.
