21 - Concepts on Astronomy, the 9 planets and the Solar Nebula theory were discussed.

We reviewed why we do Vocabulary and Review Questions in class. Emphasis was placed on writing a complete and not partial definition on the vocabulary. Then the purpose of reading to answer the Review Questions was discussed. All in preparation for learning the concepts in a chapter.

Today, we reviewed the parts of a textbook and used it to find several items of information. Then we began the Uses of a Textbook WS, which will be due tomorrow.
Rules Test, Textbook Notes
Today, we took the Classroom Rules Test. Then we took notes on the 3 major parts of a textbook as we found them in our textbook. After sample questions we began the "Uses of a Textbook" Worksheet.
Rules & Procedures
We reviewed the Rules and Procedures in class using the Projector and prepared for our Rules Test tomorrow. They will have a Classroom Rules Test tomorrow after we finish the Parts of a Textbook notes.
Code of Conduct
We reviewed assigned pages of the SCBOE Code of Conduct and reminded students to have classroom materials on Monday to complete the syllabus.
