Juror, Pete Schulte of the University of Alabama, wrote in his statement: āā¦Ā It is important for us to remember that being an āartistā is but one outcome of an education that includes the arts, and that thinking creatively and critically about problems and acting to solve those problems ā the by-products of creative training– are skills that translate across the spectrum of human experience, skills that are flexible and can evolve. It is proven that those who are trained in, and acquire these skills early in life tend to succeed regardless of the career path(s) they choose to follow.ā
