On the heels of their recent dominating performance at the Technology Student Association National VEX Robotics Competition, the Oak Mountain Middle School Robotics Team can now add a State Championship title to their list of accomplishments. The Alabama VEX IQ State Championship competition was held on March 8th at Jacksonville State University. The OMMS team had a strong showing at the competition, outscoring the second and third place finishers by a total of 43 points and 50 points, respectively. The team has now qualified for upcoming World and International competitions. The VEX IQ World Championship competition will be held on April 23rd in Anaheim, California. Honolulu, Hawaii will host the International VEX Summer Games in July.
