Oak Mountain High School will host the only stop in Alabama for the national High School Nation Tour. This national event will be at Oak Mountain High School on Monday, March 17 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on the school’s soccer field.
Principal Joan Doyle said Michael Zauchin, OMHS’ Choral Director, was instrumental in helping to bring the concert event to the school.
“We are so excited to be hosting this great event to promote the arts,” said Doyle.
For the past 10 years, High School Nation has worked with thousands of public high schools and middle schools, building strong relationships with their students and staff. High School Nation began with a focus on providing free lunchtime concerts for students across the country, and has grown into a facilitator for talented student artists. High School Nation provides opportunities for teens to express themselves through the arts, while also learning first-hand from established artists in performing, digital, and fine arts.
Featured performers on the tour will include Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, Drake Bell, Blush, and Trevor Jackson. There will also be a Style Zone, Music Zone, and Art Zone among other various activities for the students.
