Vincent Middle High School Celebrates Hispanic Culture

The students at Vincent Middle High School recently had an opportunity to participate in a Hispanic Cultural Celebration.  In honor of Hispanic heritage month, Ms. Tracy Lee, Spanish teacher, and her students planned a day of cross curricular activities for the students.

The day began with a survey of the the student’s prior knowledge of Hispanic culture. ¬†The students then received “classroom” passports to visit classrooms that¬†were set up as countries¬†relative to the Hispanic culture.¬† Students were able to tour the classrooms and see displays, hear music, taste food, and learn facts all lead and produced by Spanish II and Spanish III students.¬† Spanish students also rehearsed and performed authentic dance routines and instrumental music. The day ended with a guest speaker and a written reflection culminating the day‚Äôs events.
