Fancher is a freshman at Montevallo High School and takes honor classes. She is described as hard working and creative and is a member of the Montevallo Junior City Council, Destination Imagination, and Future Teachers of America Club. Fancher is also a member of the MHS Volleyball Team and participates in the Upward Bound program at the University of Montevallo. She plans to attend college and become a social worker.

Williams is a freshman at Montevallo High School and is an honor student. He exhibits both academic and musical excellence. He is a member of the MHS Marching Troubadours and participates in both the Jazz and Pep Band. Williams also participates in Destination Imagination and is a member of the MHS Chess Club. Williams plans to attend college but is undecided on his future career plans at this point.

Fancher and Williams had an abundance of supporters at the awards luncheon. In attendance were Lindsey Tillman and Maurice Valentine from the Montevallo Teen Club; Freda Shivers, Director of the Montevallo Boys and Girls Club; Hollie Cost, Mayor of Montevallo; Lydia Godwin,  Montevallo Main Street Board Member; and Melissa Youngblood from Shelby County Schools. Williams’ mother, Monique Williams, was also in attendance to support both nominees.
