New Shelby County Board Members Sworn Into Office

Amber Polk and Brian Boatman were officially sworn into office as the newest members of the Shelby County Board of Education on December 15. Probate Judge Allison Boyd conducted the swearing-in ceremony, which was held during the December board meeting. Polk and Boatman both had a large number of family and friends who attended the ceremony, including their spouses and children. A reception was held to honor Polk and Boatman following the board meeting.

Polk, a resident of Chelsea, and Boatman, a resident of Helena, were both elected earlier this year. Both are parents of children in the Shelby County School District.
