Students from Ms. Hannah Rodgers’ and Ms. Beth Crawford’s classes had the opportunity to connect via Skype with students from the American School in Asunción in Paraguay.
Included in the classes were the RMS Junior United Nations Assembly delegates, whose country of focus for this year’s General Assembly is Paraguay. The delegates were able ask Paraguayan students questions that helped them in their research about Paraguay. The RMS JUNA resolution for this year’s General Assembly in January proposes a provision of safe houses for homeless and abused children.
“It gave us different perspectives of Asunción. It was beneficial because it shaped our ideas for our safe house,” one student said.
“It was a good experience to talk to them. It did expand my knowledge of Paraguay children,” another student added.
