Computer Science Discoveries

General Information

Computer Science Discoveries is a semester (or year-long) course for students in 8th grade to provide an understanding of basic computer programming concepts and logic.  Students will be introduced to programming through a variety of projects and object-based programming activities and applications primarily provided by Code.org.  Students will explore and demonstrate business related skills such as teamwork, interpersonal skills and ethics while completing their  projects.  Most of the curriculum and resources are explained here on the Code.org site.
