We discussed how to determine significant digits in measurement according to Chemistry. Then, after working several examples, began the Significant figures WS (24 pts). Then, students reviewed and worked practice problems on Percent Error prior to working the % Error WS (48 pts). They will have a Data Analysis Voc. Test (50 pts) on Wednesday and Chapter Test (100 pts) on Thursday.

English/SI Conversions
Students took the English/SI Conversions Test (50 pts) and finalized the notes on Significant Figures.
Significant Digits/% Error
Students learned how to determine the number of significant digits in a scientific measurement and how to determine % error. We also reminded them of the English/SI Conversions Test (100 pts) on tomorrow.
English/SI/Derived Units
Students took the English/SI/Derived Units conversions test in class today.
Derived Units Conversions
Today, we worked on SI/English Conversions and conversions involving derived units in class. After working several problems on the board, students began the Derived Units Conversions WS (45 pts). They will have a SI/English Conversions Test on Thursday.
SI/English Conversions
Students took the SI Conversions Test (50 pts) and finished the English/SI Conversions WS (45 pts) in class today.
SI/English Conversions
Students learned the key relationships in volume, mass and distance to convert in the English system of measurement. Then, we learned the key SI-English conversions to allow conversions between SI and the English System. Then, we worked 3 practice problems before beginning the SI/English conversions WS (45 pts). They were given notice of the SI Conversions Test on Monday.
SI Conversions
Students performed 3 practice problems converting in SI. We then completed a worksheet on SI Conversions in class (45 pts). They understand that 6 steps are expected to be shown in the conversions on the WS. We also had a calculator check in class for a bronze grade (10 pts).
SI Conversions
Students learned 12 prefixes in SI, the numbers they represent, and their symbols. After comparing the different units and writing equations with the units, we wrote conversion factors comparing the SI units. They were assigned an SI Conversion Factors WS (34 pts) for completion/homework the prior night. Then, we performed conversions in SI using the Conversion Factors. They were given an SI Conversions WS for homework.
ACT Aspire
Students took the ACT Aspire Test in class today on the Chromebook laptop computers.
