Students took the Data Analysis Chapter Test (100 pt) in class. We began the Vocabulary for the Matter Chapter. We will have the Penny Density Lab Tomorrow, so dress appropriately.

Students took the Data Analysis Voc. Test (50 pt) as soon as the bell rang. They then began the Data Analysis Chapter Assessment (82 pt) which they finished for homework. They will have the Data Analysis Chapter Test on tomorrow and a lab on Friday.
Data Analysis
Students completed the notes on Data Analysis by discussing and note-taking on the types of graphs and contrasting interpolation/extrapolation. They concluded class by completing the Data Analysis Word Search (40 pt) in preparation for the Data Analysis Voc. Test on tomorrow. They will have the Data Analysis Chapter Test on Thursday and Lab on Friday.
Data Analysis
Students went over the rules for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing number WS with significant figures/digits. We then went over the answers from the previous nights homework. After that, we worked the Significant Figures (+,-,x, /) WS (48 pt) in class.

Students turned in the E-Day assignment. We then went over the PowerPoint notes on what significant figures are and how to determine the correct number of significant figures in a measurement. They were then given the Significant Figures WS (24 pt) to complete in class.
ACT/Work Keys
10th graders took the ACT Pretest and 12 Graders took the WorkKeys test. All other students had an E-day assignment. Chemistry students were to read p. 50-52 of the online textbook and write a summary. Then, answer the questions on the bottom of p. 51 and top of 52. Then, they were to use those notes to answer p. R101, #35-36 from the online text. Grade sheets will be taken up Wednesday.
Data Analysis
Students completed the Percent Error WS (30 pt) in class today. After completing the % Error WS, they read in their book information on Significant Figures. They were to read and summarize the rules on significant figures from the online textbook on p. 50-52. Then, they were to answer the Significant Figures on p. 51 & 52, and p. R101#35-36.

Students learned how to perform dimensional analysis in derived units. They began a SI/English Derived Units WS (45 pt) and finished it for homework.
10-4 (Friday)
Students learned the term Percent Error and how to determine percent error in an experiment. They completed the % Error WS (30 pts) and began reading on Significant Figures.
SI Conversions
Students had the SI Conversions Test (30 pts) today. After the test, they completed the SI/English Conversions WS that was begun yesterday. They were instructed to have 5 steps with each problem. will have the SI Conversions Test.
Data Analysis
Students were given 3 "bridges" SI-English conversions to convert items from SI-English Conversions. Upon completion of the SI-English Conversions WS (45 pts), they began converting derived units. They will have a test on SI Conversions tomorrow.
