Today, we took notes on the scientists and what they contributed to the Atomic Theory. Discussions on what the models of the atoms looked like and how they were different were discussed.
Running Water & Groundwater/Earth’s Resources
2nd
Students began taking notes on the "Running Water & Groundwater" concepts from the PPT. We will be taking notes and discussing the information for the next day.
5th
Students finished the "Earth's Resources" Study Guide worksheet by reading the text and answering the questions. We went over the answers to the Study Guide and viewed the Powerpoint presentation. We will take the Chapter Assessment and Voc. Test on Wednesday.
Atoms & the Periodic Table
We completed the Atoms and the Periodic Table Review Questions. Then after the 30 min. we started notes from the PPT on the same information. Students were advised of the date for the 1st Semester Exam and how we'd prepare.
Running Water & Ground Water/Earth’s Resources
2nd Period
Students defined the terms from the "Running Water & Groundwater" chapter and began the Review Questions from that section.
5th Period
These students defined the terms from Earth's Resources and began the Review Guide and Study Notes from the Worksheet. We will finish the Review Guide tomorrow and go over the PPT on Wednesday.
Atoms & The Periodic Table
Students defined the terms from the "Atoms and the Periodic Table" Vocabulary Worksheet. Then, they were allowed to read the chapter and find the contributions of 7 scientists to the Atomic Theory of the Atom. Most students did not finish the Vocabulary and had to finish it for homework.
Running Water; Rocks
2nd
Students got to complete the "Running Water & Groundwater" Vocabulary. Those who did not finish got to take it home and finish it over the Holidays. We've got to learn to read and not rely on the glossary for special terms.
5th
Students took the Rocks Voc. Test (42 pts) w/their text and notes (15 min.), then immediately began the Rocks Chapter Test w/their books.
Solid, Liquids & Gases
We first reviewed the answers to the Solids, Liquids, and Gases Chapter Review. Then we went over the answers on the website Chapter Review. Finally, we got to the Solids, Liquids, and Gases Chapter Test (100 pts). Have a GREAT Thanksgiving Holiday and enjoy the break everyone!!!
Running Water & Rocks

Began and worked on the Running Water & Ground water Vocabulary despite much complaining about having to read in the chapter. Learning how to read and comprehend what we read hopefully. Keep working!
5th
We went over the PowerPoint on Rocks, reviewed the Study Guide and began the Seek-n-Find on covering Rocks. The Chapter Test will be tomorrow on Rocks as well as the Voc. Test.
Solids, Liquids, and Gases
We took a Ch. 16.3 Study Guide WS (18 pts), then completed a Seek-n-Find on Solids, Liquids, and Gases (42 pts) at the beginning of class. Then we took the Solids, Liquids, and Gases Vocabulary Test (40 pts) at varying times in class. They were assigned the Chapter 16 Review (55 pts) for homework. They will take the Solids, Liquids, and Gases Chapter Test in class tomorrow.
MMS vs Bibb Co.
Tough game. The team is improving, but endured another rough loss. We are continuing to improve and make advancements on becoming a better team. Hang in there Bulldogs.
