Today, we looked at the structure of volcanoes and the types of debris that result when they erupt. We reviewed the 3 factors that determine the types of eruptions and the different volcanoe types.
Motion
Students got to review the concepts of speed. We went over the difference in displacement and distance. 4th period observed the Tracking Speed Video and will be reviewed tomorrow. 6th period took their Chemical Reactions Test that was delayed due to the decathlon before Spring Break. They began the Motion Review questions after the test.
Volcanoes
We began the powerpoint notes on volcanoes and moved through them rather quickly w/discussions.
Motion
Students took notes on the concept of speed. We discussed the variables of distance and time and how they relate to speed. Then, we solved 4 problems with the speed equation. We finished the class w/the Speed word problem worksheet w/the Motion Review Questions due tomorrow for homework.

Students finished the Volcanoes, Ch. 18 Study Guide Review and began the Crossword Puzzle for the volcanoes Chapter.
Motion
We took notes on Speed and its calculations. Then we worked 3 practice problems finding, distance, time and speed after discussion the unit of speed.
Volcanoes
Students were given the Ch. 18 Study Guide for Content Mastery to complete as they read the chapter. It will graded at the end of class on Thursday.
Chemical Reactions
We went over an old test on Chemical Reactions, then took the Chapter Test on Chemical Reactions.

Students will complete the reading and answering of the review questions from the Volcanoes chapter.
Chemical Reactions
Today, students completed the Chemical Reactions Crossword Puzzle, then the Chapter Review. We completed class with the Chemical Reactions Vocabulary Test. We will have the Chemical Reactions Test on Tomorrow. You must bring a pencil. We'll start the Physics portion of Physical Science tomorrow.
