Students took notes on the beginnings of an earthquake and how they move.

Students took notes on the types of body waves and seismic waves. Then we differentiated between the P & S waves. The similarities in water waves and earthquake waves was discussed. We finished as we learned how to measure and detect earthquakes.

Students took notes on the characteristics of ionic and covalent compounds. We reviewed the basics of chemical bonding and valence electrons.

Today, we completed a worksheet to see if we understood the relationship between periods/energy levels and valence electrons/groups. Then we went over the characteristics of ionic compounds. We ended w/the naming of ionic compounds.

Students completed the Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind Chapter Assessment, and took the Voc. Test

Students reviewed the answers to the Glaciers, Desert and Wind Voc. Test and took the Chapter Test. Then they began the Earthquakes and Earth's Interior Voc.

Students completed the Earthquakes and Earth's Interior Review Questions and began the Powerpoint notes on the same chapter.

Element & their Properties Seek-n-Find WS was done to review the Vocabulary from the chapter as well as completing the Chapter Review.

We took the Element and their Properties Voc. Test, reviewed the answers and the Chapter Review, then took the Element and Properties Chapter Test
