Running Water and Ground Water
The Running Water and Groundwater Chapter Reading Guide was issued. Students were allowed to take notes during the PPT presentation.
Boyles Law
Students were introduced to Boyles and Bernoulli's Law. Then, we went over the steps to solving Boyles law by working 2 practice problems on the board. We also went over the algebra to learning formulas for the other two variables. The Boyles Law WPWS was assigned for homework.
Running Water
Students turned in the Running Water Vocabulary and began the Running Water Review Questions.
Pascals Principle
Today, we studied the actual causes of pressure and the formula for pressure. We worked 3 practice problems dealing w/pressure, force and area in class. Then, students were expected to complete the Pressure Word Problem WS in class.
Running Water
Students finished the Running Water Vocabulary in class. Those that did not were responsible for finishing it for homework. They were shown how to find the terms in the chapter, "Having to Read in the chapter" was an issue.
Buoyancy
Today, we studied buoyancy, Archimedes' Principle and began word problems using Archimedes' Principle, Pressure and Pascal's Principle.
Thermal Expansion & Energy
Today, we talked about molecular motion in Solids, Liquids, and Gases and Thermal Expansion. We led up to the word problems on Pressure.
Running Water
Earth & Space students spent the entire period defining the vocabulary terms from the chapter on Running Water and Groundwater.
MMS vs Blocton
Wow!! The MMS Bulldogs went to Blocton and took the storm w/them to befuddle the Tigers. A great effort and focus as we took care of business in West Blocton. Work continues as we prepare to go to Jemison to take care of business once again next week.
