We did practice problems on changing from scientific notation to regular numbers, then completed the worksheet on Scientific Notation. All students were advised to have a calculator for class tomorrow. The test on Scientific Notation will be on Thursday.

Today, we went over the answers to the Chapter Assessment, then took the Vocabulary Test. The Global Grid worksheet was to be finished for homework. Tomorrow, we'll have the test on Introduction to Earth Science.

Students began the Global Grid WS, completed the Chapter 1 Assessment and prepared for a Introduction to Earth Science Voc. Test tomorrow and Chapter Test on Wednesday.
Intro. to Earth Science
We completed the last few pages of notes today, concerning the Scientific Method. The difference in theory, hypothesis and law were discussed as well as all previous notes. Students were told to get access to markers or colored pencils for work next week.
Lab Tools
Students completed the "Tools of a Physical Scientist" WS (40 pts) and the Lab Tools Crossword Puzzle today in preparation for a Lab Tools Test tomorrow.

Information on Earth as a System, parts of the earth system and technology use in global gridding were discussed.
Lab Tools
Students completed the uses of Lab Tools from the Powerpoint and were to have turned in the Lab Equipment WS (66pt) by 8th period today, along with their Lab Tools Drawings (100pt).
