Measurement
Today, we read the Chapter dealing with Measurements and answered the Review Questions. We also began the Conversions Worksheet and learned the shortcut way to SI conversions. We were informed of the SI Lab on Wednesday/Thursday and to bring our Lab Permission forms if we had not. We will have a Measurements Quiz on Wednesday.
Measurement
Students today got to define the vocabulary terms in the chapter on "Measurement". They also began to read and answer the questions on "Measurement" Review Questions.
1st Qtr Benchmark Test
All Physical Science students took the 1st Qtr Benchmark Test. There were a total of 65 questions to see how well they learned the material on Lab Safety, Lab Equipment, Scientific Notation, Calculator Use and Rounding, Writing Conversion Factors and Converting in the English and SI systems.
MMS vs Blocton
The MMS Bull Pups played hard, but small errors limited the chance for success. We have improved a lot but are working towards the ultimate goal of perfection. Keep working hard Bull PUPS. We've gotta get the Comer Tigers...
1st Qtr Benchmark Review
Today, we spent the entire period working on our 1st Qtr Benchmark Review Guide. The 1st Qtr Benchmark test will be given tomorrow in all Science classes. You must have a pencil to take the test. A pencil will not be provided for you. You must also turn in your 1st Qtr Benchmark Rev. Guide.
Temperature Conversions
Today, we took the Temperature Conversions Test. Very easy, just take the time and do the math. Understand the various temperatures on the three scales. After the test, we began the 1st Qtr Benchmark Review Guide in preparation for the 1st Qtr Benchmark Test on Thursday. Grade Sheets are also due on Thursday at the beginning of class. The 9 Weeks grading period ends on Friday.
MMS vs West Blocton
The Tigers get to give up a piece of MEAT to the DAWGS this Tuesday. The MMS BullPUPS travel to West Blocton to take on the West Blocton Tigers this week. Meet us there at 6:30pm.
Temperature Conversion Table
Today, we learned how to read a table w/some information put in and use that information to find the answers to the empty spaces. Reading tables and performing temperature conversions was our goal for today. We will have a test on Temperature Conversions similar to the table we did in class today. Also, each student will get their own 1st Qtr Benchmark Review Guide to review for the Benchmark Teston Thursday, Oct. 11. The test will cover everything from Day one to now. These items are Classroom Rules, Lab Safety, Lab Equipment, Scientific notation, Calculator Use, English Conversions, Metric System, SI Conversions and Temperature Conversions. Review and be ready.

Well done Bullpups!!! Congratulations on the homecoming victory over the Panthers. All players got to contribute to the victory. It was a GREAT TEAM success. ALL PLAYERS cheered on and celebrated with their teammates. Record Now: 2-3. We now get to get even w/the Tigers from down the road in West Blocton. Look out as we maul the 1st set of Tigers.
