The schedule for summer workouts in MMS football/basketall will begin the 2nd week in June. The dates for the football workouts in June are 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28. All times for football are 8 am - 10 am. The July dates for football are July 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26. the times are from 8 am to 10 am again. Basketball workouts are on the same dates in June and July. The times for basketball are from 10 am - 12 pm on those dates. The 1st week of July is given off for both basketball and football. Players are expected to be at the workouts unless they notify the coaches. There will be a LIFT-A-THON on July 26 to showcase the work that all the players have done. Work hard and "LEAVE a MARK" BullPUPs!!
Benchmark, 4th Quarter
We're continuing to review for the 4th 9-Weeks Benchmark Test. The Benchmark will cover the information on Energy, Work and Machines, Thermal Energy, and Radioactivity. There are two crossword puzzles to review the vocabulary terms and Standardized Test Review Worksheets from the textbook to help review for the Benchmark. Gradesheets were taken up and the final grades for the classwork/homework/tests will be computed today.
4th Quarter Benchmark
Students were given the 4th Quarter Benchmark Review Guide in the form of a Crossword Puzzle to review the terms and concepts for the Benchmark Test. They were also given an open book test on the Chapter on Radioactivity. The dates for the individual classes Benchmark Test was posted on the board for all classes to view. Study, Study, Study!!!
The Day After
Finally, the last day for "The Day After". Students will take the open book vocabulary test, Chapter Test and review of the video on Monday.

We're finishing up "The Day After". There are going to be questions and a short test after the video. Tune in and enjoy the video. A special thanks goes out the FTA (Future Teachers of America) for a super lunch. I am stuffed w/good food. Bravo to Mrs. Cabrera and the ladies of FTA!!!
The Day After
Classes will continue to view the video, "The Day After" in an effort to see the possible consequences of a nuclear attack on the US. The primary objective of the video is to view the effects of radiation on humans and the environment.
MMS Athletic Banquet
Male athletes at MMS were treated to a cookout w/hamburgers, hotdogs, the famous "T-Bone baked beans", cookies, chips and drinks . All athletes enjoyed themselves and those that didn't show up missed a treat. T'was a wonderful event. Special thanks to Coach Brown for manning up the grill again. Already lookin' forward the cookout next year. Too bad the players didn't beat the coaches again.
RADIOACTIVITY
"The Day After", a video depicting the effects of a nuclear bomb detonation in the US will be shown to help students view and attempt to understand the effects of radiation on humans. Students have already done the vocabulary, so the terms will be used in setting a starting point for the discussion on radiation.

Students were allowed to complete the Radioactivity vocabulary for the days lesson. We will complete the Radioactivity Review Questions tomorrow and begin "The Day After" video.
