We discussed the differences in potential and kinetic energy. As well, we talked about what energy looks like. All students were told to have a calculator for tomorrow's word problems on Kinetic Energy. Class ended w/a poptest on identifying kinetic and potential energy.

Tuesday, We'll complete the vocabulary and Review Questions from the Chapter on Energy. Hopefully we all are refreshed from a beautiful Spring Break and in line for the home stretch of the 4th Nine Weeks.

Yesterday was BIOLOGY and today is the Math AHSGE. Good luck to those who are taking the AHSGE. Tomorrow will begin the Social Studies section of the AHSGE.

Students were allowed to Review the Biology content for the AHSGE if they had not passed. They were also given time to study for any of their other exams they will be taking this week.

We finished the Benchmarks in Physical Science today. Students were allowed to complete and work on a Periodic Table Wordsearch for BONUS points. AHSGE Exams will be next week. Language on Monday, Reading on Tuesday, BIOLOGY on Wednesday, Math on Thursday and Social Sciences/History on Friday. Then SPRING BREAK begins!!! Friday also signals the end of the 3rd Nine Weeks grading period!!!

Yesterday, we went completed the Reviews for the Chapter on Chemical Bonding and Chemical Reactions. We will orally review those concepts and complete the review on Motion and Forces. Students can go to the following link to review for the 3rd Qtr Benchmark.

We showed how well we understand the concepts on Forces and Motion on the Forces Chapter Test. We were also given the 3rd Qtr Benchmark Test Review Guide to prepare for the Benchmark Test in Science on Thursday and Friday of this week. Study hard for Good grades!!!

Momentum and Newton's 3rd Law of Motion were discussed. In class, we completed the Momentum Word Problem WS and Forces Crossword Puzzle. Students were not happy, but were given the Forces Chapter Review to finish for homework over the weekend. All in an attempt to take the Forces Chapter Test Monday and the 3rd Qtr Benchmark on Thursday of next week.  Forces Vocabulary test was taken today also.

We completed the Newton's 2nd Law of Motion Word Problem Worksheet today. You will still need your calculator for class tomorrow.

We got to watch an old ESPN video on "Newton's Hat Trick" and hockey. We learned the 3 Laws of Motion and how they apply to this chapter on Forces. We got to take a poptest after the video and had no homework. Have a great weekend!!
