Registration packets, including access codes for online registration, have been given out to 6th and 7th graders. 8th graders were given access codes only. If your student was absent and did not receive theirs, the student will need to go to the front office to pick up their registration packet and access codes.
OMMS PTO Academic Partners is proud to once again offer the opportunity to purchase pre-packaged school supplies for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year for OMMS students. The school supply sale is our LARGEST fundraiser – proceeds from last year’s sale enabled us to donate a Chromebook cart stocked with 32 Chromebooks to the school for general use, as well as to fund other academic requests. The package will include the requested supplies from the core classes for each grade at the low price of $55 (plus a minimal GoFan fee). Avoid the stores, save time, and help us raise funds for the school by taking advantage of this convenient option to get your supplies. These school supply packages will only be available through online pre-order from May 1 to May 31, so be sure to order yours now.

From OMMS PTO: Teacher Appreciation Week is this week!. Please encourage your child to do something special for their teachers on the corresponding days below. It can be a note, a flower, school supplies, etc. Any sentiment will be great! This is just a small way to let our teachers know they are appreciated.

8th grade students: If you have a change that needs to be made on your course verification form for your freshman course selection, it was DUE on April 19th to the OMMS counselor’s office. Any forms turned in after, April 25th, will need to be emailed directly to the high school counselors at kathyhenson@shelbyed.org or you can drop them off at Oak Mountain High School Counseling Center.
8th Grade Parents: If your student is interested in Show Choir for the 2019-20 school year at Oak Mountain High School, please go to the Oak Mountain Show Choir website at: https://www.omhschoirs.com/ for very important information concerning a meeting and auditions.

In order for attendance notes to be coded properly, please make sure all notes have the studentās first and last name when submitted.Dance team will not practice today, May 7th. Practice will resume on Thursday.
All current Eagle Ambassadors should have received a purple sheet Friday about 5th grade visits this week. Please report to the lunchroom in your EA shirt and name tag at 8:00 on your day to give tours. All newly selected Eagle Ambassadors should plan to meet Thursday morning in D-5 at 7:15.
The new JUNA team will meet on Wednesday at 7:20 am in A-17.
If you gave Mrs. Graham $40 cash (not check) for a yearbook in the last 2 weeks, please see her today. Mrs. Graham will send a list of students she does not need to see.
Registration for art camp has now ended. Anyone with outstanding registration forms need to have them turned in by Thursday, May 9th. Additional information in regards to Community Education registration will be emailed to parents/guardians on Monday, May13th.
The results of today’s SGA election will be posted on the SGA blog by 5pm this afternoon. SGA candidates should plan to remove all posters by 3pm tomorrow.

End of the year “See you at the pole” tomorrow morning to wrap up the year for First Priority. Meet at the flag pole on the field at 7:15am.

Wishing you had ordered some OM socks now that you have seen them? If so, stop by the front office. A limited number of socks are available for sale with Mrs. Whitt. $12 while supplies last.
Any student who has an overdue book or a fine as of May 7th will not be eligible to attend field day.
Phase 1 final meeting will be on Monday, May 13th. All Community Connection forms are due then. Pick up will be at 4:00.
