Bus Information:  Students that ride bus 13-41 will ride bus 09-63 today running at approximately 3:30pm from OMMS.

The SGA would like to celebrate the end of the school year with some fun dress up days next week. Monday, May 15 – Marvelous Monday/Dress for Success ; Tuesday, May 16 – Tropical Tuesday; Wednesday, May 17 – Wacky Tacky Wednesday; Thursday, May 18 – Groovy GOOM (this will also be the 6th grade Dove/Hawk Day); Friday, May 19 – Pajama Day

JUNA: Any 6th or 7th grader interested in being a part of the JUNA (Junior United Nations Assembly) team can pick up an application in room A17.  Completed applications are due today.

Attention parents of students who have medication in the health room: the Alabama Department of Health does not allow ANY medications to be stored in the health room over the summer. Please contact the school nurse to make plans to pick up your student’s medication or to have it discarded. You can reach her at or 205-682-5347. Any medication not picked up by 1pm on May 25th will be discarded according to policy.

Yearbooks! Online ordering for yearbooks through Jostens is now closed. Any remaining yearbooks will be available on May 19th on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like to purchase one on that date, please send $50.00 (check or cash – checks made out to OMMS) on May 19th. Students will pick up their yearbooks that day during their PE class. OMMS Choir: The OMMS Eagle Extravaganza will be Saturday, May 20 at 7pm in the OMHS Performing Arts Center. Be entertained by soloists, dancers, comedy routines, and instrumentalists! Purchase tickets here:

Shelby Cares:  In the 22-23 school year the Shelby Cares School Based Mental Health program has served 43 students from the Oak Mountain zone.  

Please help Shelby County Schools show support for the cause of Mental Health Awareness by encouraging your students & staff to wear Green on May 18th!  All photos of students and/or staff wearing green can be shared to #ShelbyCaresGoesGreen or emailed to Cindy Warner
