This week is #loveteaching week, and I’d like to share 10 things I love about teaching.
- I love students’ smiling faces and the “Good Morning Mrs. Brock” greetings I hear every morning when they first come in.
- I love to hear kids say “I love school,” or “I love math,” or “I love reading.”
- I love connecting with families and seeing them around our town.
- I love the ability to bring history and science to life by experiencing different kinds of field trips.
- I love the opportunity to be creative with my instruction.
- I love having a profession that is interactive and makes a difference in people’s lives.
- My favorite lessons are character lessons, because they usually happen based on an applicable situation between students that popped up at P.E. or recess.
- By the end of the year, I love the feeling that comes from knowing you’ve done everything you could to prepare these students for third grade.
- I love it when students work hard to have good behavior and I can reward them with something fun like game time, group activities, or movie time.
- Finally, I love teaching because I know I’m called to do it, and there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing!
Those are just a few reasons why I #loveteaching.
