“kings of the road” new book about road running in the 1970s – i ran saturday in tuscaloosa and felt nothing like the main characters because i was way, way back in the pack – great book that wove the story of three US runners in the 1970s – and how they helped create the running boom that exists even today – great stories as well of how a strong work ethic can overcome quite a bit in the sport of running – and the amateur ties the book addresses are things that college football is currently having to figure out (see johnny football)
“the ghost runner” by bill jones – British runner commits one “crime” as an amateur in the 1950s and spend the rest of his life paying for it – amazing story of a guy that often ran without a number – without the proper okay – again, issues with amateur running are things that college football is currently trying to figure out (how much money can you make off someone before you owe it to them to share) – so i enjoyed the book
“steve scott: the miler” – so a triffecta of running books this week – strange how that works sometimes – i’m balancing with a baseball book this week:) anyway, scott was a talented miler in the early ’80s-’90s – good description of that time period – that culture – scott’s story of how running affected his marriage was revealing – and brave of him to include
hope we all celebrated seuss day yesterday in proper fashion – as i mentioned at the top, i was on the road running – with sister – nearly froze:)

I’m still reading Brisingr, but you guys knew that anyway. I really want to get it done before the nine weeks is up but I’ve been too busy doing extra credit.
Anyway, Roran and the rest of the troops attacked an army that was attacking one of the villages in Surda, and when he realized if he followed his captain’s orders, his men would be killed easily.
Roran tries a different strategy, and sends some of his men on the roof with bows and arrows, to pick off the men while the rest of them killed them on foot.
That’s all I read. Will try to finish Brisingr over the weekend.

before johnny went back to the war, he went by emilys house. she cried and johnny gave her one of his hand-made hankerchiefs that his sister had given him. it had the word ‘sunday’ on it. he also gave her 20 gold coins which was a lot in that time. and he got his friend at the pharmacy to give emily everything she needed to help her mother.it was a great shock to emily when she was given the 20 coins. no one those days had so much money loose in their pockets. but emily knew how he had had all that money. johnny had been doing thins that was look down upon. and she was greatly appreciative for what he had done for her and her family

another lady who had come to their house was mrs keckley. she was the head seamstress. and emilys mother was supposed to make a few dresses. but because her mother wasnt up to doing anything, emily had to finish the dresses. she truly was a genius with a needle and thread. the dresses were beautiful. according to the book anyway.right away when mrs keckley saw the dresses, she asked emily if she wanted to work for her as a seamstress. but emily had to take care of her mother. and she wasnt exactly sure what she was going to do after her mother passed on. she didnt want to think about it until she absolutley had to.

Lalalalalalalalalalalalalala. Unicorns. Ughhhhhhhhhh. My head hurts ALOT and I finished alice in wonder land and I’m almost done with my other book. Darren finally got past the dragons and spits is dead because he got caughht on fire and died in the lake of souls. Darren has finally returned home but kurdan was murdered by mr. Tiny and harkat was able to go live a happy life since his friend was murdered. Now I know what y’all are thinking foe those who think this is completly syco bit this is how the book goes even though it is a little messed up. Oh and for those of you that didn’t know that went to wilsonville last year, mrs. Liveoak retired today and now mrs. Tidmore has taken over the rulling of the school. Haha

Tuesday- I am almost finished with Witch and Wizard: The Fire by James Patterson. Whit is still in the Sahdowland. Whisty went through with her plan and it almost worked. She went back into The One who is The One’s office but he was expecting her. Apparently, he had known all along that she had a disguise and who she really was. Whisty followed him into a room with all of the confiscated items that he made illegal. There were teddy bears and toys. There were some toys that Whisty recognized, which made her mad. This gave her the power she needed to take out The One who is The One. They went into a room of mirrors and Whisty zapped him with a lightning bolt. It didn’t kill him but she thought it did so she ran. Then she id the same to Pearce. She grabbed Byron Swain and they ran to a portal.
Wednesday- The portal was underwater and The One who is The One had chased them down. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger was true in his case and he was stronger than ever. Whisty and Byron got through the portal and into the Shadowland. The whole time, Whit had been escaping from Lost Ones who were trying to kill him and the other Resistance kids.Celia had come and saved them and they ran away. Whit could feel Whisty when she came to the Shadowland. He ran back and tackled The One right before he killed Whisty. They ran down to their parents and everything was explained to them. The One caused a huge storm and created the perfect conditions for lightning, giving him a chance to steal Whisty’s power. Then Celia sacrificed herself to save Whisty. Whisty and Whit killed the One.
Thursday- Creative Writing- My grandparents have lived on this family farm since they got married. My Great-grandfather gave them a piece of land to live on. I went to visit almost every weekend because it was on our way home from church. I was playing with my little cousin when he tripped and fell. He was okay but he said he heard a click when he fell. I looked to see what he tripped over, and I found a small metal bar. It wouldn’t come up so I cleared some of the dirt away from it. It was a door made out of really old cast iron. I opened it and found a small tunnel. We climbed through it and the door slammed behind us. We were trapped because we couldn’t reach the door and it would have been too heavy for us to lift as short as we are. The tunnel was our only option out so we went down it. I found an old lantern with a match beside it. The lantern lit and we followed the tunnel for a few feet.

I’m reading Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I’m to the part where Peeta and Katniss are gathered to go to the games, and get this they don’t even get to say goodbye to there loved ones! I think that President Snow’s first priority is to kill Katniss and so far he started out be killing her from the inside instead of outside since that Is expected in the games. Katniss thinks that that notecard had been freshly prepared just for her circumstance….
President Snow wants her to die because her meaningless actions have caused the uprisings of many against the Capitol, even though she didn’t mean any harm by her doings.

Yeah im reading “The Wednesday Wars” (from maf’s book shelf) and Im actually on page like idk but yeah. ya see theres this dude and well i really dont have time to tell you about everything up to this point (ill just tell you my favorite parts so far) Like the one part where ya see these two people are going out and some stupid 8th grader was making fun of this girl (like real mean) and the guy (boyfriend) take his entire lunch tray and dumps it on the little (blanks) head and then before the little (blank) can even figure out what just happened he punches the dude right in the face. and he got suspended and ya know what his parents do? they take him to washington DC becuse of what he did was so sweet. yeah ill tell you more later but i have to go momentarally so yeah

So she is trying to find out what happened to the boy b/c she took a nap but, when she woke up the boy wasn’t there but, the red light on her vidscreen of her phone so she knew she was being watched b/c it only came on if she was video chatting with somebody and, she wasnt video chatting with any one b/c the kidnappers took her phone and deleated anything that she might be able to get somebodys help to tell them were she is and what had happened to her.

She just found out that the kidnappers killed her buttler Albert and now she is really mad b/c Albert was there when no one else was she said “why did you kill him?!?!” but she already knew the answer to that question they killed him b/c he was her body guard and he always carried a gun on him no matter where he whent and he was trained by a M.M.A trainer so if he was dissarmed he could kill them or knock them out long enough for them or him slef to get away

Ok so we definitely worked on books today!! How is it that every book involves me being fat? I’m as big as a hippo! ADISON COUCH THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!! I can sooo fit on camera, you just have to zoom out a little more for me than others. I honestly believe there were only like 5 people who didn’t make a book about me. But hey I’m finally popular!! That’s an accomplishment right?
Ok so I’m going to talk about major points in my life, things that are important to me just cuz I feel like it 🙂
One thing that plays a major role in my life is music. (No not being fat) I play two instrument (technically one and a half, not quite there all the way on the piano yet) and I absolutely love dancing and hanging out while listening to the radio-I have it on right now actually. I love the melody, the synchronized beats, and finding that one song that always completely describes how your feeling.
Another thing that is so very important to me is my friends. My friends are everything to me. Just having those weekends where you get your friends together and just hang out-this weekend!! I love my friends dearly.

I am reading the book catching fire.
So far it is just about how katniss wishes that she didnt remember the hunger games. Katniss is having to prepare for the victory parades and we snt to wake uo haymitch. She did so by dumpi ng hot water all over him. Then when katniss got back home she was confronted by a guy from the capitol. The guy took her too a room and thpresident snow was waiting on her

mon1- a girl from the aphrodite cabin takes jason to chiron the camp director. the director looks at jason and gasps. he says that jason should be dead. drew asks what chiron means and then chiron tells drew to go away for a minute
tues1-chiron comes up and looks at jason and says that it really is him. chiron asks jason what happend and how he was still alive. jason tells chiron that he doesnt know and that hera took his memory.
weds1- chiron starts saying something and then freezes. a lion on the wall starts vibrating and then a woman in a black robe appears in front of jason. she tells jason that he needs to rescue her from her jail and that he doesnt have much time.
thurs1- then the figure goes back into the lion and chiron unfreezes. jason asks him if he just saw what he saw and chiron looks at him puzzled and asks what he means. jason explains about the woman in the lions mouth. chiron says that the time has come.
mon2- annabeth starts taking piper on tours of the cabins. she starts giving random facts about each god like what they are the god of or who is thier godly mom/dad. piper starts thinking of who would be a good parent. then annabeth takes piper to the hera cabin. they see a figure walk inside and they decide to follow it. when they get inside all thay see is a statue of hera.
tues2- piper asks annabeth why hera doesnt have any children. annabeth explais that hera is the goddes of marriage and that she isnt allowed to have any affairs. she says that her cabin is strictly honorary. then someone steps out of the shadows.
weds2- the person ends up being the camp oracle. she says sorry for scaring them but she had a good feeling about heras cabin. then the oracle grabs piper and chants something then piper blacks out. annabeth and the oracle grap piper and immediately take her to chiron.
thurs2- leo is taken on a tour of the hepphaestus cabin and all of its cool features. when he gets to the cabin he sees the cabin leader in a body brace sitting on a bed. he says hey and asks if leo is a new recruit. leo says yes and then he says something and a bed comes up from the cabin floor.
Well, considering my name, I could be any man on the face of the earth. (“C’mon, we are all quotes here man!” Read that in a hippie voice. Haha, back to my blog.) I will now do a creative poem for five minutes.

So a few days ago, I watched a story on Ben Petrick-an amazing catcher who played for the Rockies and the White Sox. You might be asking,”What sets Ben apart from other catchers”? Well I’ll tell you why.
Petrick has Parkinson’s disease. When he first was hinted, he noticed that his reaction time was slower, and his glove trembled while holding up a target for the pitcher. At first, Ben didn’t tell anybody with the exception of a few teammates, and the head coach of the Rockies at that time.
Ben Petrick’s dad also has Parkinson’s. Doctors didn’t know if Parkinson’s was genetically connected from Ben’s father to himself.
Ben heard about this procedure that was risky, but could help his Parkinson’s ease up a bit. The first attempt failed, but Ben still live for the next procedure.
Ben is still alive, and he has two kids. Ben Petrick’s story is inspiring to many people today.

Okay, I’m confused. Should Yoda2 or dragon master… I only took on Yoda2 because of all of the other nicknames. The book I am reading is called Enoch’s Ghost, yes ghost… Hey! I just found a new nickname!
Part two. My new nickname is now Ghost. The Ghoul, The Phantom, The Shadow… I am invisible you can not see me, well this is a blog soooooo… i guess that the last part has been registered invalid. Anyways! More ideas! Since that science fair is tomorrow (I HAVE TO WEAR A BLAZER),*sigh*, and it is going to be awesome(ly stupid)! I had to get a new board since it looks like it’s been to jupiter and back (I would have said mars, but then it wouldn’t have been through the grinder called the asteroid belt).
Well today is Saturday and I have to take a break from cleaning my room, so of course what do I do? I blog of course. Camden had a baseball game today (he told me) It’s starting about now, I wish I could go, I love baseball. I played baseball and few minutes ago with some neighbor kid (not really baseball, there was only two of us) but then I left, he was being a brat and wouldn’t except the news that he was losing to a girl, whatever. Ha ha my room is really messy right now. It wasn’t that bad, but then I started to clean and now it’s really bad. Hey and don’t worry I have a TSA comfirence thingy to go to and I have to wear a blazer YAY (no) and a tie YAY (no) and heels YAY (no) and dress pants (surprisingly comfy)
