Students were introduced and reviewed the procedures for the SI Lab on mass, volume, distance/length and temperature. We will continue and complete the lab on Monday.
Data Analysis
Students took the Data Analysis Chapter Test (100 pt) in class. We began the Vocabulary for the Matter Chapter. We will have the Penny Density Lab Tomorrow, so dress appropriately.
Measurement
Students took the Measurement Quiz (50 pt) in class. After the Quiz, students began the Scientific Method Vocabulary (38 pt). We will have the SI Lab tomorrow so dress appropriately.
Data Analysis
Students took the Data Analysis Voc. Test (50 pt) as soon as the bell rang. They then began the Data Analysis Chapter Assessment (82 pt) which they finished for homework. They will have the Data Analysis Chapter Test on tomorrow and a lab on Friday.
Length Lab
Students performed calculations and measurements in SI on the Length Lab WS (70 pt). They were assigned the Measurement Crossword Puzzle (28 pt) to complete for homework in preparations for the Measurement Quiz on tomorrow. They were reminded to prepare and dress correctly for the SI Lab on Friday.
Data Analysis
Students completed the notes on Data Analysis by discussing and note-taking on the types of graphs and contrasting interpolation/extrapolation. They concluded class by completing the Data Analysis Word Search (40 pt) in preparation for the Data Analysis Voc. Test on tomorrow. They will have the Data Analysis Chapter Test on Thursday and Lab on Friday.
Density
Students worked 3 practice problems on the board solving for density, mass and volume. They were then given the density Word Problem WS (27 pt) to complete for homework. They were reminded of Measurement Quiz on Thursday and The SI Lab on Friday.
Density
Students learned the concept of density; units of density; and how density is used to identify substances. We will learn how to calculate density upon returning to school. They were reminded to have their calculators on Tuesday.
Data Analysis
Students went over the rules for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing number WS with significant figures/digits. We then went over the answers from the previous nights homework. After that, we worked the Significant Figures (+,-,x, /) WS (48 pt) in class.
Data Analysis
Students turned in the E-Day assignment. We then went over the PowerPoint notes on what significant figures are and how to determine the correct number of significant figures in a measurement. They were then given the Significant Figures WS (24 pt) to complete in class.
