We began the Chemical Reactions Lab today which demonstrates each of the 5 types of Chemical Reactions.  Students must come to class dressed appropriately each day.  After going over the materials and procedures for the lab, students are expected to complete the data sheet and learn the types and evidence of chemical reactions while performing the lab safety procedures associated with the lab.

Students continued working on the Chemical Reactions Chapter Assessment (84 pt).  The emphasis on writing correct formulas to write the correct chemical equations for the 5 types and placing the correct symbols in the equations.  The ability to carry over the writing of the covalent/ionic formulas and using polyatomic ions was vital in writing the correct formulas.  Students did not complete all the problems, so we will finish and review them on Thursday.

Students finished the Chapter Assessment (84 pts) in Chemical Reactions in class.  They will have the Chemical Reactions Chapter Test tomorrow.

Students took the Work Word Problem Test (100 pt) which included the word problems on Work, Power, Mechanical Advantage, and Efficiency mixed together.  After completing the test, they began work on the Work Notes which they got using the Work Lecture WS and reading the text.  All work was turned in at the end of the period.

Students continued working on the Work Lecture Notes WS (88 pts) using their textbooks and answering the questions as they read.  It was due at the conclusion of the period if they finished.

Students took the Work Word Problems Pretest where Work, Power, Mechanical Advantage and Efficiency Word Problems were all mixed together on a WS(36 pts) to get ready for the combined word Problem test on tomorrow.  They will have the Work Word Problems Test on Tomorrow.  After completion of the pretest, students began the Work Lecture worksheet using their notes and book to answer the questions on Work & Machines.
