Students were given the Lab-Chemical Reactions and we went over the procedures. They were advised to dress appropriately for lab tomorrow through Thursday.
Power/MA
Students learned about Power and Work, then completed the Work word Problem WS (20 pts). Then, we discussed what Mechanical Advantage actually is and completed the MA Word Problem WS for homework (18 pts). They were informed of the Work Word Problems Test on Thursday.
Molar Mass
Students completed the Molar Mass WS (40 pts) during class. Then we began notes on converting moles of a compound to mass of a compound using conversion factors.
Work
Students learned how to define work and calculate work when given Force and distance. Work was also demonstrated as well. We then work 3 practice problems and were given a Work Word Problem WS (20 pts). Students received a Bronze grade for calculator possession. They were also advised of the complete word problem test coming soon.
Moles/Molar Mass of Compounds
Students took notes from the PowerPoint on moles and molar masses of compounds and how to calculate them. Then, we completed the Molar Mass of Compounds WS (40 pts) for homework.
Work & Machines
Students completed the Work & Machines Vocabulary (56 pts), then began the Work & Machines Review Questions (60 pts).
Moles
Students learned how to calculate molar mass after taking notes from the Power Point on Moles. Then, they were given a WS to complete on Molar Mass (30 pts).
Energy
Students took the Energy Voc. Test (26 pts) after they completed the Energy Ch. Review (50 pts) and the Energy Crossword Puzzle (26 pts). They will have the Energy Chapter Test on tomorrow.
The Mole
Students took notes on the concept of a MOLE, and completed a worksheet converting moles of a substance to particles of the same substance (30pts)
Energy
Students completed the final slide for Energy. They completed the Energy SNF (16pts) and Crossword Puzzle (38 pts) in preparation for their Energy Vocabulary Test tomorrow and Energy Chapter Test on Wednesday.
