Temperature Conversions/Tables
Students were taught how to read a table and add data to a table. Then, students were given a Temperature Conversion Table to read and complete involving Celsius, Kelvin and Fahrenheit Temperatures (40 pts). They will have a Temperature Conversion Test on tomorrow. Students were informed of the test on Tuesday.
Temperature Conversions
Students learned the three temperature scales. We also learned the formulas for converting from Celsius to Kelvin (vice versa) and Celsius to Fahrenheit (vice versa). They were given a Celsius to Fahrenheit (vice versa) WS (25 pts) to complete for homework.
SI/English Conversions
Students completed the SI/English Conversions (45 pts) that was started on last Thursday. We reviewed the items for this chapters objectives and began the notes on Percent Error. Students were informed of the SI/English Conversions test on Tomorrow and the percent error WS.
Eng/SI Multiple Units Conversions
Students worked 2 Multiple Units Conversions on the board, then began the Multiple Units Conversions WS (45 pts). They were notified that they will be having a SI Conversions Test on Tuesday when they return.
SI Conversions Test
Students took the SI Conversions Test (30 pts).
SI – English Conversions
Students were given the SI - English conversion factors so that they could convert English measurements to SI or vice versa. They then completed the English to SI Conversion WS.
Measuring in SI
Students were given a "Measuring in SI" WS (90 pts) to measure given lines in mm, cm, and dm. They were then asked to convert to the other units of measurement using Conversion Factors. They will have the SI Conversions Test on tomorrow.
SI Conversions
Students worked 3 practice problems on Converting in SI from Tera- to pico- on the board. Then, students completed the SI Conversions WS (45 pts) in class.
SI Conversions
Students worked 3 practice problems on Coversions in the Metric System w/the teacher. Then, the students began the SI Conversions WS (45 pts). They will have an SI Conversions Test on Thursday. After finishing the SI Conversions WS, they began the SI Measuring WS (50 pts), which uses a ruler to measure lines in SI.
