Students wrote the SI prefixes, their numbers and their symbols from tera- to pico-. Then, we practiced writing SI conversion factors before they began the SI Conversion Factors WS (34 pts).
Conversion Factors in SI
Students reviewed the prefixes in SI, the numbers that they represent and their symbols. Then, we reviewed how to write SI Conversion Factors. They began the SI Conversion Factor WS (34 pts) in class and completed it for homework. They were reminded that grades will be finalized on Wednesday and all makeup work must be completed by Wednesday of this week. They will also have a SI Conversions Test on Wednesday.
Scientific Notation, SI Notes
Students took the Scientific Notation Test (20 pts) and began the prefixes of SI and their conversion factors.

Students took notes on the SI prefixes, the numbers that they stand for and the symbol for the prefixes today.
Scientific Notation
Students completed a scientific notation WS after reviewing the rules on writing numbers in scientific notation and changing numbers to/from scientific notation.(48 pts) They will have a Scientific Notation Test tomorrow. We began notes on Conversion Factors in SI and SI prefixes after the WS.
SI Units
Students took notes on the SI base units and how to calculate the volume of a solid object and a liquid object. We also reviewed the SI notes from Monday.
ASPIRE Test
All 10th grade Science students took the Aspire Test in class today.

Scientific Notation Math
We reviewed how to Add and Subtract numbers in scientific notation w/their calculators first. Then we copied the notes on how to multiply and divide numbers in scientific notation. Soon after, we worked some sample problems from the text on dividing and multiplying numbers in Scientific Notation from their textbook. Then, students completed the worksheet on +, -, /, and x numbers in Scientific Notation (48 pt)
English Conversions Test
Students took the English Conversions Test (74 pts). After the test, students began read and write notes from p. 6-7, then, they were to answer the questions on p. 8 for homework.
