We went over the calculations for the Speed Lab and students were to finish the calculations for homework. (100 pt).
Chemical Reactions
Students were introduced to the concepts of chemical reactions, chemical equations, products, reactants and how to properly write a skeleton equation. They had homework from p. 279 and 876 in their textbook reviewing today's concepts.
Speed Lab
Students went outside to perform the activities needed to determine their speeds in walking 10 yds, running 10 yd, walking 40 yd, and running 40 yds. They will need a calculator tomorrow to complete the calculations for the lab in determining speed.
Chemical Reactions
Students completed the Chemical Reactions Voc (44 pts) in class and Review Questions (60pts) for homework.
Energy
Students completed the Energy Review Questions (50 pts) during class. They were told to be sure that they wear athletic shoes or comfortable shoes for tomorrows lab on Speed.

Students took the Covalent Bonding Ch. Test (100 pts) and began the Chemical Reactions Voc.

Air Resistance
Students conducted a lab on "Air Resistance" (50 pts) and were told to be prepared for a lab the first day back from Spring Break on "Speed".
6th - Took their "Forces" Chapter Test (100 pts) and completed the Energy Voc. (20 pts)

Covalent Bonding
3rd Period
Students took the "Covalent Bonding" Voc. Test (48 pts) and were allowed to complete the Covalent Bonding Ch. Assessment (78 pts). They will have the Covalent Bonding Ch. Test on tomorrow.
7th
Students were allowed to review the notes on Covalent Bonding and took the Covalent Bonding Chapter Test. They were allowed to use their notes/outline during the last 10 min. of the test. Emphasis was placed on how to correctly construct and use an outline in this chapter.
Forces & Energy
Students took the "Forces" Chapter Test (100 pts) after reviewing the answers to the Chapter Review. We will have an "Air Resistance" Lab tomorrow.
Covalent Bonding
3rd
Students were able to complete the Covalent Bonding notes by reviewing the notes and establishing properties of Covalent Bonds and comparing them to Ionic Bonds. They were given the Covalent Bonding Crossword Puzzle and the Writing Ionic/Covalent Compounds WS ( 50 pts) They will have their Covalent Bonding Voc. Test tomorrow.
7th
Students took the Covalent Bonding Voc. Test and were given the Covalent Bonding Chapter Assessment for homework.
