March 18 Announcements

Please remember when your student is absent you have three (3) school days from the time that he returns to send in a written excuse.  Please also remember to include your student’s full name, written legibly, in order for it to be correctly recorded to your student.  If a student needs to be absent and it is known in advance, please turn in a pre-planned absence form 10 days prior to the absence for approval.  To help facilitate getting absentee excuses in, we have added lock boxes on the 7th & 8th grade halls. These are secure boxes, close to the students’ core classes, making it easier than ever for the students to get their excuses turned in within the 3-day window. Please encourage your students to locate them and use them.

Changes in bus transportation will only be approved for emergency purposes.  Please send in transportation notes, including the reason for the change, 24 hours in advance.

Parents of students who play sports at OMHS, this is the last call for images for our OMMS yearbook page featuring those students who participate at OMHS in sports/clubs.  If no photos are submitted for your child’s group they will not have photos in the book.  Thank you to those of you who have already submitted information.

Please remember that students are not allowed to dismiss from cars in the morning until 7:00 or until an adult is present at the carpool line.

8th graders are asked to visit the OMMS SGA blog tonight and vote for the 9th grade SGA positions if you didn’t have a chance to vote during school today.
