November 10th Announcements

Schools and offices are closed tomorrow in observance of Veterans Day.

Congratulations to Dr. Haynes for being named the District 5 Middle School Principal of the Year by the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals.  Dr. Haynes is also a state finalist for Principal of the Year.

Congratulations:  7th and 8th grade competition cheer team for a great performance at Super Regionals! Their performance earned them a bid to State in December!  Also to 7th and 8th grade Scholars Bowl teams as they won against Berry yesterday!

Toys for Tots Donations:  The annual Toys for Tots drive will run through Friday, December 3rd.  See the attached information for details.

Yearbooks For Sale:  2021-2022 yearbooks are for sale!  Go to balfour.com/yearbooks and search for Oak Mountain Middle School.  They are only $40 now through January 31st.  Get them while they are hot!

Lost and Found:  Items in the Front Office lost and found will be donated on Friday, November 12th.  If you are missing items of clothing or water bottles, please stop by and check for your missing items prior to the 12th.

Coding Club: will meet today in Mrs. Carter’s room D-2, from 3-4:30.

Domino’s Halftime Half Court Shootout:  Come support our OM basketball teams at home tonight and at halftime make a half court shot to win a free Domino’s pizza!  Good luck to our teams as they play Berry.  Girls at home and boys are at Berry.

OMHS Band Poinsettia Fundraiser:  It’s time for the annual poinsettia fundraiser that benefits the OMHS band percussion section.  The poinsettias are florist quality from Wheeler Greenhouses in Montgomery.  Orders are due Friday 11/12, and flowers will be delivered Wednesday 12/1 in the OMHS band room.  Please use the attached form to order plants for your family and as gifts.  Thanks for your consideration and support!
