OMMS is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week May 8th – 12th, in conjunction with National Teacher Appreciation Week.
We would love for your kiddos to recognize our teachers on the corresponding days with any gesture, like a thank you note! (see attached flyer)

Rising OMHS 9th graders & new students & parents: We’d love to see you next Monday, May 8 at 6 p.m for our HS 101 program. Counselors and Admin will share what to expect at high school, including scheduling tips, differences between MS and HS, and ways to get plugged in. We’ll also have time to let students and parents tour the building. We’ll see you there!
JUNA: Any 6th or 7th grader interested in being a part of the JUNA (Junior United Nations Assembly) team can pick up an application in room A17. Completed applications are due by Friday, May 12th.
Eagle Ambassadors: Interviews will be after school on 5/10.
Yearbooks! Online ordering for yearbooks through Jostens is now closed. Any remaining yearbooks will be available on May 19th on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like to purchase one on that date, please send $50.00 (check or cash – checks made out to OMMS) on May 19th. Students will pick up their yearbooks that day during their PE class. Phase 1: will meet next Thursday, May 11th after school. Students will ride a bus to Oak Mountain High School to work on a project. Parents MUST send in a signed permission slip to Mr. Norris by Wednesday, May 10th in order for students to attend. Parents will pick students up at 4:30 at OMHS that afternoon.
OMMS Choir: Come be entertained at the Eagle Extravaganza on Saturday, May 20 at the OMHS Performing Arts Center. Be dazzled by the OMMS Choir soloists, dancers, comedy acts, instrumentalists, and the show choir! Purchase tickets HERE.Lost and found items will be donated after today.

Girls Can: There are a few more spots for the Girls Can camp held June 5-7 for girls currently in 8th – 10th grade. The camp is designed to expose girls to numerous careers in the construction industry. The girls will also learn how to safely use power tools to create a few projects.
