Welcome back!
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer! I can’t believe it’s already time to start school! As I start my 6th year at FOES, I’m looking forward to meeting all these new students and families. Getting to know and work with my students is my favorite part of teaching. My goal is to make learning fun. I believe it takes a village to raise a child, and I try to communicate with families to make sure we’re all on the same page to help your child succeed.
My students are “Rockstars” because we’re not only here to learn and grow together academically, but to develop good character qualities and become the best second graders we can be!
It will be a year of “firsts” for me in some ways. Since we are expecting our first child October 7, my goal is to start the year and leave at the end of the first quarter. It’s VERY difficult to leave my students with a sub, especially for the 2nd quarter, but my goal is to be back in January. We have a nanny set up, so I plan to jump back into the routine in the new year and finish the year strong!
I would appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this, and I plan to give my students my very best regardless of these changes.
