So today we read MOST of chapter 7 of The Great Gatsby in class. I hope you enjoyed the voices I gave the characters. Finish chapter 7 and read chapter 8.
Tomorrow we will view some scenes from the movie from 1999 (not the Leo one) and you will finish the book (chapter 9) over the weekend.
Remember, if you want to be on Remind101, look through the past ten posts or so. Information about it is right there. 🙂 Also, do not rely on Remind101 to remind you of a test. You are a junior! 🙂 Write it down. If it’s on the board and we talk about it in class AND it’s on the calendar, you do not need a reminder text from me. It’s just a courtesy. Sometimes I don’t remind you and other times I do. Do not tell me, “You didn’t send out a text about the test.”
Speaking of tests, your first test was yesterday on chapters 1-5 in The Great Gatsby. Please read!!! The next test is Wednesday, September 10 on chapters 6-10. Folders are due that day as well.
No homework tonight. Get caught up on reading if you are behind. Tomorrow we tackle my favorite chapter. Chapter 7. It’s awesome.

Please be ready for summer reading classwork (bronze grade) and the summer reading essay next week (gold grade). You need a copy of The Great Gatsby in a week and a half.
